Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the monitoring and analysis of security events and alerts to identify potential threats.
- Participate in threat intelligence gathering and analysis to stay updated on the latest cyber threats.
- Help implement and maintain security controls and technologies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in risk assessments.
- Support incident response efforts, including documentation and reporting of security incidents.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to remediate security incidents and identify improvements in processes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging threats to further enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of common cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- A genuine interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
Preferred Skills
While not required, the following skills will make you a strong candidate:
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of malware analysis and reverse engineering concepts.
