Indigenous Support Worker Jobs – Empowering Communities Through Care

Position Overview
We are seeking passionate, committed, and culturally aware individuals for various indigenous support worker jobs. As a support worker, you will play a crucial role in facilitating access to health, education, and social services while promoting cultural pride and community resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group support to Indigenous clients, focusing on individual needs and aspirations.
- Assist clients in navigating social services, healthcare systems, and educational opportunities.
- Develop and implement culturally appropriate support plans, tailored to each individual’s unique context.
- Foster an environment of trust and respect, ensuring that clients feel heard and valued.

- Organize and facilitate workshops and community events to promote cultural awareness and skill development.
- Document and track client progress, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all privacy regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to continuously improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in social work, Indigenous studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or individuals is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and leadership.
- Understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and social issues, along with a commitment to cultural competency.
- Proficiency in using technology for documentation and communication purposes.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, along with a clear criminal background check.
