Position Overview

As a Computer Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our IT department by managing computer systems and ensuring their optimal performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and operating computer systems and networks, while adhering to company policies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor computer systems for performance and issues, responding promptly to alerts.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, providing timely resolutions.
• Perform regular backups and maintain data security protocols.
• Execute scheduled jobs and batch processes while ensuring data integrity.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of systems operations and procedures.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software.
• Collaborate with the IT team to implement system upgrades and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding data protection and IT security.
• Train junior operators and provide user support as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Computer Operator or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certifications) are a plus.
